Best Western Port Huron Blue Water Bridge

We recently stayed at this hotel, older hotel that is being renovated. Our room was very clean, staff went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased with our room, they called to make sure our room was satisfactory! We arrived early as we were attending a wedding and were allowed to check in early, and even received a room upgrade! The included breakfast was real food (eggs, pancakes, waffles and sausage)! Kuddos to Veronica who was working on her birthday and checked us in! We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

I went here with family on a visit to take my college student to school. It was late Spring & a bit chilly out, so I wasn’t happy with having to walk across the parking lot to get to the pool inside their main building. I also felt that the room itself didn’t have a feeling of “welcome” that I’ve come to enjoy from hotels I normally choose, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. I am left to assume that the particular suite I booked (two room family suite) is only available in the separate buildings, adjacent to the main, which is fine. It would just be nice to feel like there is more warmth & a more inviting atmosphere. It isn’t the Ritz, but overall, the hotel was clean, staff was friendly, pool area was clean, it wasn’t too far from everything we got to do while we were there, I felt safe, plenty of places to eat nearby & the cost was easy on my pockets. I think this is a great place to stay if you’re just looking for decent sleep, a place to keep the kids happy & being centered in the city between downtown on one end & the beach at the other. I’m sure this will be our regular place to stay when I visit my college student, as long as the family suite is available & it’s not too chilly out when we go over to the main building.

The best western is hands down the best hotel in the area of port huron been living in port huron for 20 years an have been in every hotel here in this city aint no hotel like the best western the breakfast is the best no doubt the employees are amazing good at keeping the hotel safe an clean have Xoxoxo

The room was adequate but was missing a comfy chair to sit in. There was a lamp in the corner by the window with an open space next to it for a chair. Don't know why there wasn't one. Not a big deal, but having a comfy chair to sit in would have been nice. We got up in the morning and go to use the one cup coffee machine in the room and there was no cups to put the coffee in. We had the usual thin clear plastic drinking cups, but I wouldn't trust putting hot coffee in those thin cups. So, I called the front desk and asked for some coffee cups. They said, we're out of them. What, how can a Best Western hotel be out of coffee cups for the rooms? They said I could come down to the lobby and use the coffee machine down there If you want coffee. It's 7 a.m., I'm in my robe. I'm not about to get dressed just to go downstairs to go get a cup of coffee. So, now comes the time to go have a shower. I go in the bathroom and there are two shower condiments on the edge of the tub. One was shampoo and the other one was conditioner. Where's the soap?? I checked around the bathroom everywhere, no soap. So I heard house cleaning was outside in the hall so I went out and asked the lady for some soap. She said they're out of soap and offered me another bottle of shampoo. How the hell can a Hilton hotel be out of coffee cups and soap?? That's ridiculous. Don't think I'll be staying at a Best Western hotel anytime soon again.

Pleasant stay. Friendly staff, we felt appreciated and never had to wait for their attention. Nice breakfast on a Friday morning with hot fluffy scrambled eggs and sausage.m, potatoes etc. We would stay there again. Gave 4 stars for the room only because my husband needed a tissue and the holder was empty.

I came in without a reservation at almost 10 pm. Roger was able to get me a nice room with a view of the river and, because of my status, gave me a drink and a snack, which was helpful since I try not to buy airport food. We had a funny conversation while printing paperwork that I needed for work. The next morning, I was pleasantly surprised to find bacon and smoked sausage for breakfast. I stay at hotels A LOT, and the vast majority of breakfasts are the same scrambled "egg" and steamed (boiled) sausage patties. While I was eating, I tried to get an Uber to a place about 3 miles away. Veronica told me that Uber's don't run in that area and that a taxi was my only option. I had called a taxi, but, even though it was within their business hours, they didn't answer. Then she offered to take me to the place where I needed to go. Those two, in my opinion, went above and beyond to accommodate a last minute late arrival with a place to be in the morning and limited options for getting there. I will definitely stay at this location every other time I find myself in Port Huron for a night.

This motel has a great helpful staff. The rooms are very clean and beds are very comfortable. They have a good breakfast available with the all the usual items that they kept well stocked. They have a large parking lot that can accommodate some semi trucks and they are right off the interstate. The price was excellent and I definitely will stay here when in the area. Thanks BW!

Surprisingly awesome. Comfortable and clean, super friendly vibe, and front desk people that truly care about your experience. Veronica, the GM, is a perfect host and so knowledgeable about every part of the hotel. Electric car chargers outside, free hot and cold breakfast until 10 AM, great quality coin washer and dryer, and efficient ice machine. Expansive green space for your dog, next to a park, and 8 min drive from a beautiful fenced in dog park that offers trails and wildlife sitings. Efficient fridge and microwave in every room, pool that's open, super comfy beds. Windows that actually open to let fresh air in! Excellent water pressure in shower and thicker walls to ensure quiet for light sleepers. Fitness room. Staff are long term- Roger made our day. So friendly and genuine. We stayed 2 days past our original plan because of the great value price-wise and high quality of the hotel and staff overall. A 6 star for sure.
